POWER & FREE CONVEYOR PRODUCTS
KCI, Inc. offers a complete line of power & free Conveyor systems that are robust in design, versatile in applications, and competitive in price. Power and free conveyors were developed to add flexibility into the production process by allowing individual parts carriers to be stopped, without stopping the power chain, and affecting the movement of other carriers in the system. The benefits of using the power & free conveyor in a manufacturing or warehouse operation are numerous,

  • Parts delivery between unsynchronized work operations allow for flexibility in the manufacturing process.
  • The power and free system can be developed using multiple chains with different speeds. The slow speed chains are used for production operations and the high-speed chains are used for the delivery portions that bring the parts to the operations.
  • The power and free conveyors have a greater load carrying capacity than the comparable monorail conveyor systems.
  • The parts carriers can be accumulated to save storage space and can be stopped at load and unload stations for manual or automated parts transfer.
  • Multiple load bearing free trolleys can be included in the parts carrier design that will increase the load carrying capacity of the carrier.
